We are located in the Flatiron District of NY and we are now doing TeleHealth video sessions. PMA psychotherapists, associate clinicians, and advanced clinical interns provide counseling services including Individual, Couples, Family and Group Therapy, in addition to Workshops and Seminars addressing a variety of topics.

Our collective of therapists are dedicated to assisting you in gaining awareness, making choices, and activating those choices to help you overcome your problems and challenges. Some challenges that we focus on can include anxiety, depression, body image, relationships issues, LGBTQ issues, family issues, substance abuse, socio-cultural issues, and trauma.

Our intention is to listen to you carefully and co-create an approach to support you in achieving your life’s goals. Our approach is comprehensive in nature, and includes both traditional Psychodynamic (talk therapy), as well as relational and behavioral therapies focusing on the "here and now" helping you live more wholeheartedly and authentically.

I strive to create a safe therapeutic space, where we can laugh as we begin to explore the roots of your present symptoms, which are often linked to our past, going back to our childhoods.

I primarily work with adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, or managing past trauma that creates barriers to connection in their lives, as well as young people going through the school transitionary phases of entering middle school, high school and college. I utilize an eclectic approach mix of person-centered, Gestalt and psychodynamic modalities that best suits your personal experience.

Therapy is only effective if we all are in a place to let our guards down, be curious and explore what might be going on underneath the surface. This is true for all ages and stages of life. I try to be my most authentic self in the room and hope the same from you. I see us as a collaborative team, working together to feel more connected in your life and reach your goals.

I recently received my Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling and Wellness from New York University. Before becoming a therapist, I worked for years in NYC as a Case Manager in foster care, family homeless shelters, the LGBTQ+ community, and with developmentally disabled individuals. As a Harlem Native, bringing light and awareness to social issues and community achievements are important to me.

I am currently studying at the Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy Institute to become certified in Gestalt Therapy for Post Graduate training. My therapeutic style also draws from Psychodynamic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Strengths Based Therapy.

My therapeutic space is approached with curiosity, warmth, and genuine compassion. Working collaboratively with my clients, we explore the client’s experience in relation to their environment, and asking, “What’s impacting the client’s experience?” I support my clients in discovering their potential, and strengths to help them navigate their environments to become their authentic selves.

Doctor of Medicine: Robert Wood Johnson Medical School

Residency: Emergency Medicine, Allegheny University Hospitals in Philadelphia

I have over 25 years experience of treating patients in the Emergency Department, Urgent care offices and now the psychotherapy office as Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Medical Director.

I have always been an advocate for patients suffering from mental health issues. In my emergency department, I’ve added 8 new Emergency Behavioral health private treatment rooms for patients in serious mental health crisis.

I have extensive experience with Ketamine and will make sure that it is safe for all patients that are approved for Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy.

The research is clear that Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy is effective for the treatment of treatment-resistant depression. It has also been shown to help treat patients with anxiety, PTSD, OCD, substance use disorders and many other mental health conditions. I’m especially proud to be partnering with PMA, as every study that shows a significant lasting improvement is coupled with psychotherapy.

I am excited to be a part of this amazing, dedicated team of mental health specialists!

I work with children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds to build self-concept, self-acceptance, coping awareness and skills. As a lifelong New Yorker, I understand the demands and stress of a fast-paced environment and I work with clients on issues of perfectionism, as well as balance and fulfillment. Drawing from my own experiences as a former dancer and athlete, I understand the unique anxieties and coping mechanisms created by these communities. My approach is psychodynamic and blends mindfulness with cognitive behavior therapy. Above all, I value the individual and respect the authentic voice.

Additionally, I have experience working with children and adolescents, helping them process emotions, navigate trauma, and manage the challenges of growing up. My research interest is in Child-Centered Play Therapy as a treatment for trauma and I serve as a Clinical Research Consultant for HappyPillar, an app for parents to learn play therapy skills through interactive training.

I obtained both my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Bachelor's degree in Psychology (and Film) from Northwestern University. I enjoy spending time with my goldendoodle and frequenting Trader Joe’s as much as possible.

I am trained in marriage, couple, and family counseling, trauma therapy, and have extensive training as a yoga and meditation teacher.

My clients have described me as compassionate, caring, creative, and empathetic. You can expect our sessions to center around curiosity—both mine and yours. This will be cultivated through my asking questions, promoting your self-awareness through mindfulness, and our shared experience being open to examination.

My therapeutic style is non-judgmental, client-centered, and collaborative. Psychoeducation about the nervous system will be a part of our sessions to gain access to both the body and mind in the processing of trauma and regulation in your day-to-day life.

I strive for flexibility and expansion in my practice which allows for a more dynamic and creative process with my clients. All these principles lay on a bedrock of genuine commitment to creating an environment for you to become the most authentic expression of yourself.

In my role as a counselor, I am grateful for the opportunity to co-create space for connection and self-directed goals. I approach the therapeutic relationship curious to discover how we adapt to obstacles in life and ways in which we develop solutions and achieve goals. Much of my therapeutic perspective is based in person-centered therapy, with an emphasis on openness, creativity, and responsibility.

I received my Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University Family Institute Program. Areas of interest include understanding internal and external experiences that shape our self-regard. I am particularly interested in the neurobiological implications of counseling. By curiously exploring our internal world, we can more readily access the mechanisms currently governing our perception. Doing so allows us to reconsider our experiences and ultimately understand ourselves better as we navigate our internal world and external relationships.

My hope is to create a space in which my clients feel accepted, heard, validated, and motivated as they work through the challenges that life has to offer. My therapeutic style is respectful, open, warm and friendly, with the occasional usage of playful metaphors and humor. I believe in having open dialogue with those who are in my care and maintaining accountability for us both.

I am currently studying at the Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy Institute to ascertain my certification in Gestalt Therapy for Post Graduate training, however I believe in using an integrative approach with other modalities. I have a Masters of Science Degree in Mental Health Counseling from SUNY Old Westbury. Throughout my scope of practicing, I have had experiences working and interacting with people from various walks of life, including: individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses, individuals with disabilities, adults, adolescents, and children. I practice creating a therapeutic space where we can both embrace the present moment and embark on a journey of self-discovery. I believe that therapy is a long-term process that unfolds over time, leading to ever-expanding self-awareness and fulfillment. We are building this space together, and I use humanistic and psychodynamic approaches to help guide that process (Tweed jacket sold separately). I currently specialize in anxiety and anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, grief, and men’s health. I would love to expand my areas of treatment and welcome folks of all different bodies, abilities, genders, ethnicities, races, and backgrounds.

Being an individual who is physically disabled, I love working with other individuals who may have been misunderstood in their life—who may not have found somebody who understands what they are going through. Whether that be because their mental health struggles are stigmatized, their disabilities and/or illnesses are invisible, their identities are dismissed, or anything in between.. my clients come from all walks of life. I’m here for it all! Because I’m here for you.

Pulling from various approaches such as Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Psychodynamic, and more, I strive to create an environment that promotes not just growth but also acceptance, even in ways you least expect it.

My biggest goal as an individual’s therapist is to give you the space to be that version of yourself that nobody else might see—even if that means working together to build that completely from scratch! It may take some time, it may be a bit intimidating, but this is a process that I hope can benefit my clients for a lifetime. Even long after we’ve parted ways.

Empowering clients by appreciating their individuality and strengths will guide them to finding fulfillment, and peace, and reaching their full potential.

Passionate about mental health, I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness at NYU. My educational background includes a B.A with dual majors in Neuroscience and Religion (with a focus on Tibetan Buddhist Studies) from Columbia University. Additionally, I am currently enrolled in the Contemplative Psychotherapy Program at Nalanda Institute, where I am grounding my psychotherapy practice in Buddhist and mindfulness psychology.

My therapeutic approach is inclusive, collaborative, warm, and non-judgmental. Furthermore, it is also informed by Jungian and psychodynamic theory, narrative therapy, spirituality, and somatic means of healing. Some challenges we may focus on can include depression, anxiety, trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, and relationship challenges. Together, we can work on cultivating healthy and sustainable practices to foster greater clarity, insight, joy, and restoration. In the context of talk therapy, we deepen the exploration of recognizing and honoring your unique path.

I am passionate about supporting individuals facing challenges adjusting to life transitions and navigating relationships. I use a relational and collaborative approach to help clients get to the root of thoughts and emotions that may be getting in the way of reaching their fullest potential. In a safe, supportive way, we can become curious about unconscious patterns that may originate in childhood and no longer serve us to create new coping methods when life becomes overwhelming. My experience working with teachers and students, creating emotionally responsive classrooms, and fostering healthy parent/child relationships gives me a unique lens into the nature of attachment and how it affects all of our relationships throughout life. Every client has different backgrounds and needs, and I meet each individual where they are without judgment. Together, we will create a therapeutic relationship in which the bond itself is where healing begins.

I have been driven by a passion to destigmatize mental health, beginning with spearheading an on-campus campaign while attending Cornell University and most recently, I worked to shift the culture of discussing mental health and well-being in the workplace in corporate settings, which still carries a significant stigma. I previously worked as a crisis counselor, as well as aided the development of a mental health text line in India.

I strive to help patients understand themselves at their core, including why they see themselves and others in a certain way, what their blind spots are, and how they perceive love and how this affects the relationships in their lives. As a Latina first-generation woman, I will always aim to approach therapy with an intersectional and culturally competent lens.

Having lived in India for over a year, and through my personal interests, I embed Eastern and Western practices in my therapeutic approach, including Existential Therapy, Energy Healing, and mindfulness. In my free time, I love to travel the world, learn new languages, work out and hang out with my pup, Yogi.

I believe that therapy is at its best when it is a long-term wellness endeavor. Although it is especially helpful when we face adversity and suffering, therapy can bring clarity and meaning to our experiences no matter what season of life we are in. To accomplish this, talk therapy functions best through presence, connection, and mutual reflection.

As such, I look to cultivate a space for authenticity and vulnerability and practice a type of connection that can be brought back into our relationships in the outside world. My style is approachable, open, accepting, and calm. I hope that this style also models a core belief that life is about living, and not just a perpetual slog of “getting through” one day after another. I also firmly believe in the power of storytelling—and I look forward to empathetically listening to and connecting to yours. To do so, I take a mostly person-centered approach, informed by aspects of both narrative and psychodynamic theory. I also look forward to working with a diverse clientele, although I have a particular passion for the LGBTQIA+ and military affiliated communities.

I am a big proponent of Floatation-REST and have regularly practiced sensory deprivation for the last decade. I am also a forever nerd and love a good dose of D&D on the weekends. Otherwise, my not so guilty pleasures are pretentious films and British panel shows. And as a lifelong upstater, I enjoy getting out into nature and having a birdfeeder right outside my window.

I strive to learn about the diverse experiences of individuals and the unique mental health needs that accompany them, especially those who feel limited by their neurodivergence. Lived experiences have helped me develop an informed approach when navigating depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and executive dysfunction. As a queer person I understand the nuance of gender and sexuality, and am also affirming of issues related to kink, polyamory, and sex work. In addition to adults, I also want to work with children and adolescents.

I aim to create an accepting, nonjudgemental, and trauma-informed space for folks to process their feelings, identify and prioritize their goals, and tell their stories. I want to help people feel safe when being vulnerable, and I bring an inquisitive approach to supporting clients in exploring their personal identity and helping them feel authentically empowered and fulfilled.

Outside of sessions, I am often creating (whether this be fine art, crafts, or DIY projects around the home), playing video games, tending to my collection of indoor plants, cooking, and occasionally fostering kittens or on a streetcat rescue mission.

I strive to cultivate a therapeutic environment that is open, honest and practical. I believe that therapy is a collaborative effort, and that developing strong rapport and mutual understanding are the building blocks of a successful therapeutic relationship. I am passionate about helping people navigate the challenges in their lives while working towards acceptance and developing solutions. My therapeutic approach is person-centric, and is influenced by CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Theory and more.

When I am not in the office, I love doing anything outside—particularly distance running, golf and pickleball. I am also an avid cruciverbalist (crossword puzzle geek), chess player and history buff.

I am a graduate student at Northwestern University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Prior to transitioning into this field, I worked in various roles in the finance industry. I also hold an MBA from the University of Virginia, and a BA from Dartmouth College.

Prior to beginning my studies in counseling and joining PMA, I have earned a Master of Arts degree in Psychology and have worked within the mental health field for over 15 years, providing behavioral intervention services and community inclusion support for adults and children with developmental and intellectual disabilities. I focus on providing person-centered, trauma-informed, and developmentally sensitive counseling in a safe therapeutic space, geared toward my clients’ empowerment, resiliency, and increased wellness in all areas of their lives. I believe that behind every struggle and a smile lies a personal story, which shapes where the person is today. My hope is to help my clients make sense of their experiences, rediscover who they are and navigate this world with a sense of whimsy and humor.

Given my professional interests and childhood experience relocating from Ukraine, I’m curious about and committed to working with people from diverse backgrounds, and those who have immigrated from different regions of the world.

On a personal note, I’m passionate about performing and visual arts, enjoy spending my free time exploring new places, trying interesting food, and contemplating novel ideas during long walks.

Whether our connection is virtual or in-person, I'm committed to establishing a space for our conversations that's open, calm, and free from judgment.

I know the power of a strong therapeutic alliance firsthand, and strive to create a space that is sincere, direct, and compassionate. I approach sessions with curiosity and openness. You are the expert on your own experiences — that can feel both empowering and isolating. By working together, we can look closely at your emotional life and patterns of relating to others, with the shared goal of bringing a sense of cohesion to your inner experience so that you can move forward with confidence.

I am interested in an existential and relational psychodynamic approach to therapy. I completed my Bachelor of Arts in English and Film Studies from Wesleyan University, and am pursuing a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Brooklyn College.
